DENTAL BILLING AND CODING (ONLINE) This course prepares an individual for entry level dental billing and coding positions. Course topics will include but are not limited to the roles and responsibilities of dental billers, coders and managers, dental insurance plans, claim instructions, the life cycle of a dental claim, filing commercial claims, insurance breakdowns, dental benefits, legal and regulatory considerations, coding regulations, reimbursement issues, and a recap of dental terminology. Upon completion, students should also be able to utilize MS Windows and the Internet to effectively retrieve billing-related information and updates. This course is a great choice for those wanting a dental foundation or those wishing to advance in the dental field whether it be dental hygiene, dental billing and coding, or dental office management. Refund & Enrollment Policy
Refund Policy
The refund policy for Fayetteville Technical Community College's Continuing Education Division was established by the North Carolina Department of Community Colleges, Raleigh on October 15, 1993. The full refund policy is listed in the NC Administrative Code 23NCAC.2D.0203 (d) Brief Statement of Policy:- A pre-registered extension student who officially withdraws from an extension class(es) prior to the first meeting of the class (should be 24 hours prior) will be eligible for a 100 percent refund by completing an official request form.
- The refund will be 75 percent if requested prior to the 10 percent date of the class(es) meeting.
- No refunds will be given after 10 percent of class meetings.
Enrollment Policy
Enrollment for a course will end a week prior to the course start date.For example:

Enrollment Deadline: Wednesday, January 8th, 2023
