Instructor-led Courses

REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN
Through the Registered Behavior Technician program, you have the opportunity to become a paraprofessional in the field of Autism services. This course provides an understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and best practices for assisting children and adults with functional communication acquisition, social skill development, and behavior change. You will learn about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an empirically validated method for changing behaviors and teaching social and adaptive living skills. Successful completion of the course results in a certificate of completion for the 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) course, leading towards RBT certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. The RBT is a paraprofessional who practices under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder and changes in insurance mandates drive high demand for ABA services and RBT recruitment. Students interested in certification can take a competency assessment and schedule the RBT exam, making them highly marketable to potential employers. Students will also have the opportunity to interview for RBT job placement at CCABA's two Fayetteville clinic locations. Start your new career today!

This fully online class will meet synchronously (live) for 25 hours: 6-7:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for eight weeks. Class will be extended by 30 minutes on the last day (end time = 8 pm).

Additionally, students will have to complete online modules asynchronously (on their own time & at their own pace) by the specified deadline: 3/6/24
