This 660-hour program provides future massage therapists with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in the salon/spa industry, as well as the field of healthcare. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the human body, its anatomy and physiology, as well as administering a professional massage in a clinical environment. Students will be prepared to become licensed massage therapists in North Carolina. Students will be responsible for the additional cost of textbooks and uniforms. Day and Evening classes are held each year and run January-November. The next available classes will start January 2021.
Please join us for an OPEN HOUSE on October 8, 2020 at 4:00 pm in the Continuing Education Center Room 118. There will be an information session, a time to meet the instructor and register for classes.
Per the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy the following are requirements for licensure to practice:
-Must have high school diploma or equivalent
-Must be proficient in the English language
All registered students are required to attend the Therapeutic Massage Orientation on January 7 at 4:00pm, in CEC 118. During the orientation, students will be provided with program expectations, requirements and instructions on successful completion in order to sit for the MBLEx licensure exam.INSTRUCTOR: Henrike Bowman

Refund PolicyThe refund policy for Fayetteville Technical Community College's Continuing Education Division was established by the North Carolina Department of Community Colleges, Raleigh on October 15, 1993. The full refund policy is listed in the NC Administrative Code 23NCAC.2D.0203 (d) Brief Statement of Policy:
- A pre-registered extension student who officially withdraws from an extension class(es) prior to the first meeting of the class (should be 24 hours prior) will be eligible for a 100 percent refund by completing an official request form.
- The refund will be 75 percent if requested prior to the 10 percent date of the class(es) meeting.
- No refunds will be given after 10 percent of class meetings.
Enrollment PolicyEnrollment for a course will end a week prior to the course start date.
