THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE I Registration officially opens on September 15th! You may register here or in-person at the Tony Rand Student Center. FTCC's 2-course Therapeutic Massage program (total of 660 hours of training) provides future massage therapists with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in the salon/spa industry, as well as the field of healthcare. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the human body, its anatomy and physiology, as well as administering a professional massage in a clinical environment. Students will be prepared to become licensed massage therapists in North Carolina. -Course Fee: $180 -Required student insurance: $16.00 -Students will be responsible for the additional cost of textbooks, uniforms, and supplies. Here is a general overview of the schedules for the two different cohorts: Cohort A will meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-8:00 pm. (There is no class on Fridays). Therapeutic Massage I (57517) will run from 1/12/26-6/16/26. Cohort B will meet Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 am-1:15 pm. (There is no class on Tuesdays). Therapeutic Massage I (57516) will run from 1/12/26-6/11/26. **Class schedules are subject to change at the discretion of FTCC. Students will be notified in advance of any schedule changes. REQUIREMENTS:Per the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy the following are requirements for licensure to practice: -Must have high school diploma or equivalent -Must be proficient in the English language -Must have a clear background check. (Students may enroll in the Therapeutic Massage program without having a background check completed. However, a student without a clean background check may be denied a license by the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy). CREDENTIAL INFORMATION: The Therapeutic Massage program prepares students to sit for the MBLEx Licensure Exam. The NC Board of Massage & Bodywork Therapy License is valid in North Carolina. FTCC Health Programs Registration Requirements: -Students must submit an official high school transcript or GED prior to the first business day of class starting (hand carried to the Tony Rand Student Center--room #2 OR mailed to FTCC Evaluation Office, P.O. Box 35236, 2220 Hull Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303, OR electronically transferred by E-script: evaltranscripts@faytechcc.edu). -Possess a CPR certification card (American Heart Association's Healthcare Provider). The card cannot expire during class dates. Proof of CPR certification is required by the end of the 1st week of class. (FTCC offers a 5-hour class for $70--price is subject to change without notice). -Copy of current immunization record with all necessary vaccinations--MMR, PPD, Hep B. Must provide copy no later than the 3rd week of class. Non-compliance with ANY deadline listed above can result in dismissal from the program. *Other requirements may become necessary prior to the start of class. Refund & Enrollment Policy
Refund Policy
The refund policy for Fayetteville Technical Community College's Continuing Education Division was established by the North Carolina Department of Community Colleges, Raleigh on October 15, 1993. The full refund policy is listed in the NC Administrative Code 23NCAC.2D.0203 (d) Brief Statement of Policy:- A pre-registered extension student who officially withdraws from an extension class(es) prior to the first meeting of the class (should be 24 hours prior) will be eligible for a 100 percent refund by completing an official request form.
- The refund will be 75 percent if requested prior to the 10 percent date of the class(es) meeting.
- No refunds will be given after 10 percent of class meetings.
Enrollment Policy
Space permitting, enrollment for a course will end 1 week prior to the course start date at 4:45 pm.For example: Course Start Date: Monday, January 12, 2026
Enrollment Deadline: Friday, January 5, 2026 @ 4:45 pm
